Borneo is one of the best places to see wild orangutans. Tanjung Puting became famous by the long-term research carried out by Dr Biruté Mary Galdikas at Camp Leakey, home to over 5,000 orangutans, proboscis monkeys, gibbons and over 200 species of birds. These locations are accesible from Pangkalan Bun, followed by boat trip to reach them. You will be traversing narrow jungle rivers with houseboat and venturing into the rainforest with our guide. We will be visiting Dayak tribe, native of Borneo to learn and to understand the way of life and the culture of the hinterland of Dayak. Day 1 – Pick up at Pangkalan Bun Airport, transfer to Kumai seaport for departure to Tanjung Puting National Park. Crossing Kumai river toward Sekonyer river. Continue to observe proboscis monkeys along the riverbanks and rest in the houseboat.

Day 2 – Sail to Pondok Tanggui, visit the orangutans in their feeding time. Reach the Camp Leakey via black river. Trek into the forest to reach the orangutan feeding station. Go to Nipa Area to see thousands fireflies. Return to the boat to rest.

Day 3 – Driven to Kudangan village, have lunch, then continue up to Muhur area. Trek up to reach Muhur Longhouse. Enjoy your free time before dinner and spend overnight in the Longhouse.

Day 4 – Pack your stuff and trek up to see the primary forest that still left in the area. Pass by several rivers that floating down from the mountain and enjoy your time there. Enjoy dinner while we prepare your camp to spend overnight in the forest.

Day 5 – Begin our trekking activity. Trek up to the water fall and enjoy your time before return to Muhur area. Continue to drive back to Kudangan, then to Pangkalan Bun. Upon arrival transfer to the hotel then have dinner.

Day 6 -Free time before driven to the Airport. Warm farewell and see you on the next trip!
