Take your flight to Balikpapan and begin the exciting 7 days trekking to discover the Kalimantan’s Pygmy Elephant. Meet the smallest elephant in Asia, the Pygmy Elephant. The pygmy elephants of Borneo are baby- faced with oversized ears, plump bellies and tails so long they sometimes drag on the ground as they walk. From Balikpapan, we will continue our journey to Malinau. There, you will be able to spot the freshwater dolphins and Proboscis Monkey along the river of Sesayap. The unique Freshwater dolphins of Kalimantan can be identified with its shape resemblance to Beluga whale. What else are you waiting for? The nature of Borneo calling you. Day 1 – At Balikpapan, transfer to Tarakan. At Tarakan, we will take you to the hotel for dinner and spend overnight.

Day 2 – We will drive to the harbor to board the speedboat for our trip to Malina. If you are lucky enough, you can see the fresh water Dolphins and Proboscis Monkeys along the Sesayap River. Then, we will continue our trip by car to Balatikon Village, and continue to get on a motor-canoe to sail along the Agiston River into the jungle of Kalimantan. In the afternoon we will set up our camp at the River Bank. Dinner and spend overnight there.

Day 3–5 – We will start trekking into the forest, searching for the Borneo Pygmy Elephant. During trekking, we will also going to cross rivers and trek to the mountain areas, fishing, and hunting. Meals will be provided en route. We will spend the overnights at our camp.

Day 6 – Breakfast, transfer to Malinau. Overnight at guesthouse. Lunch on the way, dinner at the local restaurant.

Day 7 – Enjoy your breakfast. Then we will go to Tarakan for your next destination. Time to say farewell. See you on the next adventure!
