Located off shore from Manado, Bunaken covers a total surface area of 89,065 hectares with 97% covered by warm tropical water and only 3% is terestrial, including Bunaken, Manado Tua, Mantehage, Nain and Siladen. Visitors can reach Bunaken by speed boat for 30 minutes from Manado sea port. For those who enjoy scuba diving and snorkeling, this is a great place to be. With about 20 dive spots to choose from, you will have the chance to swim below the sea admiring more than 2000 fish species and 58 type of coral reefs. Here, you will be also able to spot rare and endangered animals such as coelacanths, dugongs, whales and turtles, as well as dolphins.
