Borneo is one of the best places to see wild orangutans. Tanjung Puting became famous by the long-term research carried out by Dr Biruté Mary Galdikas at Camp Leakey, home to over 5,000 orangutans, proboscis monkeys, gibbons and over 200 species of birds. These locations are accesible from Pangkalan Bun, followed by boat trip to reach them. You will be traversing narrow jungle rivers with houseboat and venturing into the rainforest with our guide. We will also observe and enjoy 24 bird species chirping along the river of little Buluh and Sekonyer. Discover the wildlife of Borneo and experience the best of Borneo with Indowalk.

Day 1 – Pick up at Pangkalan Bun Airport, transfer to Kubu Village. Houseboat is waiting at Tanjung Keluang Beach. Continue trip to Reserve Camp for turtle conservation project. Return to houseboat. Overnight stay in the houseboat.

Day 2 – Sail to Buluh River with our speed boat. Cross the Kumai Bay then go to Kerikil Camp to see the orangutans feeding there. Continue to cross Kumai Bay to reach the houseboat then head to Sekonyer River. Dinner and rest at houseboat.

Day 3 – Cruise to the Camp Leaky area via black river. Hike up to see orangutans, gibbons, wild pigs and birds. Join the orangutan feeding program. Back to the boat, dinner and spend overnight.

Day 4 – Boating down to Pondok Tanggui, to feed orangutans. Continue down to Pasalat Camp for Carbon Offsetting program. Visit orangutans feeding in Tanjung Harapan. Then, see thousand of fireflies in Nipa Palm. Dinner and overnight on boat.

Day 5 – Return to Kumai then transfer to Pangkalan Bun Airport. Warm farewell and see you on the next trip!
